Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A; also known as PPIase A; Rotamase A; Cyclophilin A; Cyclosporin A-binding protein; PPIA and CYPA; is a cytoplasm protein which belongs to thecyclophilin-type PPIase family and PPIase A subfamily. Cyclophilins (CyPs) are a family of proteins found in organisms ranging from prokaryotes to humans. These molecules exhibit peptidyl-prolyl isomerase activity; suggesting that they influence the conformation of proteins in cells. PPIA / Cyclophilin A accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. PPIA / Cyclophilin A is secreted by vascular smooth muscle cells in response to inflammatory stimuli; and could thus contribute to atherosclerosis. It is not essential for mammalian cell viability. PPIA / Cyclophilin A can interact with several HIV proteins; including p55 gag; Vpr; and capsid protein; and has been shown to be necessary for the formation of infectious HIV v

Goat IgG whole molecule Agarose Conjugated product is made from IgG, secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75% of serum immunoglobulins. Immunoglobulin G binds to viruses, bacteria, as well as fungi and facilitates their destruction or neutralization via agglutination (and thereby immobilizing them), activation of the compliment cascade, and opsonization for phagocytosis. The whole IgG molecule possesses both the F(c) region, recognized by high-affinity Fc receptor proteins, as well as the F(ab) region possessing the epitope-recognition site. Both heavy and light chains of the antibody molecule are present.

Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), also known as corticotropin, is a cleavage product from a larger precursor proopiomelanocortin (POMC). This 39 amino acid-peptide hormone is produced in the anterior pituitary gland upon stimulation by the corticotropin releasing hormone from the hypothalamus in response to stress. It stimulates the secretion of steroid hormone, specifically glucocorticoids in the adrenal cortex by acting through a cell membrane receptor (ACTH-R). In mammals, the action of ACTH is limited to those areas of the adrenal cortex in which the glucocorticoid hormones cortisol (hydrocortisone) and corticosterone are formed. ACTH has little control over the secretion of aldosterone, the other major steroid hormone from the adrenal cortex.

The neuropeptide ACTH (adenocorticotropin; amino acids 1-39) is the natural cleavage product from POMC (proopimelanocortin) processing; however, the first 24-amino acid sequence from the carboxyl end, ACTH (1-24) has full biological activity of the (1-39) peptide. Both ACTH (1-24) and (1-39) possess neurotropic activity.

This ACTH (18-39) fragment is known as the Corticotropin-like Intermediate Lobe Peptide. It stimulates insulin secretion as well as amylase and protein secretion in a dose-dependent manner similar to those of secretin and carbamylcholine.

The peptide, corticotropin releasing factor (CRF) was first isolated in the mammalian brain that regulates the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis. It also plays a key role in modulating the endocrine, autonomic, and behavioral responses to stress and cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and immune activities.

This is a hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1 a) 19-mer fragment. HIF-1 functions as a master regulator of response to oxygen homeostasis. Hypoxia-induced gene expression is initiated when HIF-1 subunit is stabilized in response to a lack of oxygen. This part of HIF-1 binds to the von Hippel-Lindau factor (VHL) an E3 ubiquitin ligase, and the proline 564 is absolutely critical to the binding process.
